In the field of precision instrument maintenance, the 3009 sub-fine dust-free cloth (commonly known as 3009 dust-free cloth) is a professional cleaning consumable, and its wiping performance has attracted much attention. Material Characteristics and Technical Advantages 3009 The diameter of the polyester fiber of dust-free cloth is controlled at 0.2 microns (60% thinner than ordinary polyester fibers). This nanoscale structure gives it three core advantages: 1. Super-strong liquid absorption capacity: After ASTM D1117 standard test, its liquid absorption speed reaches 0.8ml/s, which is especially suitable for the rapid wetting of volatile solvents such as alcohol and IPA. 2. Optical equipment cleaning application practice In the maintenance of conventional optical equipment, the 3009 dust-free cloth has passed the following scenarios: • SLR camera lens cleaning: Combined with 99% isopropanol solution, it can effectively remove fingerprint oil stains without damaging the multi-layer coating • Microscope objective maintenance: Its low dust-induced characteristics (<0.1 particles/ft³) meet the operating requirements of the clean room • Projector lens maintenance: After 500 wipe cycle tests, no fiber breakage or pilling occurs
For special scenarios, for nanoscale polished surfaces (such as astronomical telescope mirrors) or vacuum coating equipment, it is recommended to use the Colonia HX-900 series microfiber dust-free cloth. This product adopts a 0.08 micron island fiber structure, and its contact area increases by 40% compared with that of 3009. It is especially suitable for: 1.
